HEARTBREAKERS / LAMF

LAMF was the first and only studio album by The Heartbreakers, released in 1977. Despite the disastrous production and its negative impact on the group, it soon became a classic of fast-paced rock'n'roll, the best punk rock, full of catchy choruses and vital energy, with Johnny Thunders' impulsive and passionate guitar creating that atmosphere of fun and chaos.
According to Thunders, LAMF (Like a mother fucker) was the acronym New York graffiti artists used to add after their gang names. When they trespassed on other gangs' territory, they often wrote DTKLAMF (Down to kill like a mother fucker) .
Born to lose, All by myself, I wanna be loved, It's not enough, Baby talk, Pirate love, Get off the phone, One track mind, Pirate love, I love you, Let go, Do you love me… All of them are part of humanity's heritage when humanity is in the mood to have a good time.
