Gustavo Santaolalla's Argentine band, always with Dana as their inspiration and spiritual guide, was the rarest avis of Argentine rock. Far from the pavement, they were more into mystical and rural excursions... exploring the paths of folklore, psychedelia, tango, zamba...
Ukrainian fashion model Danais Winnycka, based in Buenos Aires, met three teenagers from El Palomar—Santaolalla, Ara Tokatlian, and Guillermo Bordarempé—and infused their lives with her knowledge of yoga, Eastern philosophy, vegetarianism, and more. They formed the Arco Iris group and lived in a community.
Santaolalla continues to expand constantly. Like a mirror, it reflects the energies around it and is a bright and resounding voice of the transition to planetary consciousness we have been waiting for for almost 26,000 years.
