In January 1977, the Queens band released their second LP, Leave Home , and it was clear they were starting to get into the swing of things. From January 28—their first performance of that year—to August 10, they played around 110 shows, 33 of them in Europe. At the end of August, they recorded Rocket to Russia .
On February 22 and 23 they were at Mabuhay Gardens in San Francisco accompanied by The Nuns.
