Catch a wave... and you'll be sitting on top of the world! Back in 1963, the Beach Boys recommended taking a surfing lesson and hopping on a board to enjoy the sun on the waves.
In July, they recorded Catch a Wave for the LP Surfer Girl . Brian Wilson recalled the song as “more rhythmic, the guitars were cleaner and more driven, as if they were saying they didn’t want to stop. I played the piano, and it was perfectly in sync with the guitars. The three different sounds combined to form a single sound. This made me euphoric.”
The image is part of a poster from 1965. We don't know the patient author of the fine lines that simulate the waves and that gave us the reason to name the T-shirt after the song.
